Loren was a 25-year-old with no job, money or career prospects when he found himself sleeping on his friend’s couch. He had recently returned from teaching English in Vietnam and feeling desperate to make something of himself. In order to make ends meet, Loren took a job cleaning construction floors, where he encountered some sobering realities about the fate that awaited people who did not take responsibility for their lives. Taking stock of his situation, Loren decided to pursue marketing as a career and found an internship at a local firm. After taking the job, he felt unfulfilled and began searching for ways out. With some luck, help from his network and sheer determination, Loren eventually built up his own business and is now happily living life as an entrepreneur.
